History

Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. traces its history back to the original Edwards company, Canada's leading manufacturer of fire protection systems, established in 1929.

Between 1999 and 2010, the Edwards Sprinkler division of SPX Canada acquired Barley Fire Protection, Upper Valley Fire Protection, and Troy Sprinkler Limited. GE later purchased Edwards from SPX, and Troy Sprinkler Limited was formed as part of GE Security Canada. A major development was the purchase of Troy Sprinkler and 12 Fire Alarm sales and service operations by the Canadian management team.

From 2011 to today, Troy Life & Fire Safety Ltd. was incorporated, and then purchased National and Marine Fire Services Inc., deepening our special hazards expertise and giving Troy a presence in the Marine industry across Canada.
